CROCIA EVENTS RESPONSE TO ALLEGATIONS MADE BY MINISTER PATRICIA DE LILLE Johannesburg, 13 January 2020 - Crocia Events has noted remarks in the media attributed to Minister of Public Works, Patricia De Lille that our company submitted inflated invoices for the supply of infrastructure at state funerals. Early 2019, in what appeared to be a forensic investigation by PwC, Crocia Events made extensive submissions to PWC detailing the nature of its pricing structures, and how state funerals are organized. Notwithstanding our unqualified cooperation with PwC, and the exhaustive submissions we made to them, we are yet to receive a copy any report regarding the matter from PWC despite numerous requests. Crocia Events has through our lawyers reached out to both the Department of Public Works and the Office of the Auditor General to enquire about investigations, if any, and or reports into alleged tender fraud. As at the time of this statement, none of these entities have provided us with any report and or confirmed that the report in fact exists. To the contrary, we have been informed by both the accounting officials of the Department of Public Works and the Auditor General that no such reports exist. Further, there has been no information provided by any of the departments and we are not aware of any charges levelled against Crocia Events. Should there be need to investigate any matter in which we can be of assistance, our cooperation is guaranteed. Crocia Events is a company that prides itself with delivery of quality work and being a responsible corporate citizen.
