State Sen. Chris Larson Responds to First Coronavirus Case in Milwaukee
County
Milwaukee -- State Senator Chris Larson, a candidate for Milwaukee County Executive,
released the following statement today in response to news that a UWM employee
was being tested for coronavirus, the first such case in Milwaukee County: 
"The coronavirus has officially reached Milwaukee County. We must take swift action
to ramp up our response and keep our loved ones safe and healthy. It's our
responsibility to do everything in our power to protect our communities, especially our
most vulnerable. It's essential that we expand access to paid sick leave so neighbors
aren't forced to go to work while ill. We must ramp up funding for public health
services and we must require insurance companies to cover all services essential to
treating this disease. 
The coronavirus is showing us that the health of each and every one of us is closely
bound up with the health and well-being of all. Let us rise to the occasion, care for
one another, and prevent this disease from taking any more lives."
