As of todav, there are no confirmed cases of in Saskatchewan and public health of?cials state the risk remains low. Our school division has a pandemic response plan and we have alreadv taken preventative measures. We previouslv directed caretaking staff to prioritize sanitization in all our schools. Focus is being given to sanitizing push-pull points and frequentlv touched surfaces, such as door handles, water fountain buttons, desks, countertops, sinks, and taps. We have asked our schools to review hvgiene practices with students and have shared posters highlighting proper hand washing for posting in all bathrooms. These posters and other hvgiene information can be accessed at We ask that you review the following hvgiene practices with vour childiren}: In Practice proper coughing and sneedng etiquette {into the bend of your elbow]; Wash vour hands often with soap and water; if soap and water are not available, use an alcohol- based hand sanitizer; Avoid touching vour eves, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands Avoid close contact with people who are sick; and, - Don't share water bottles, band instruments, eating utensils, electronic devices, ear pods or food.
