Parents, Faculty, Staff, and All Concerned:

Monday, March 16, 2020, will be the last day for students of Jackson County Schools
until the COVID-19 pandemic threat lessens. ALL athletic activities will be suspended
after today. I am asking faculty and staff to report on Tuesday, March 17, from 8:00 until
11:00 am. to ensure that everything has been taken care of that is needed. Students with
any medication for their children may pick up medications tomorrow from 8:00 until
11:00 am. Jackson County Schools had 1,005 students present today, this allowed us to
survey what we could do as a system to help these families. Our teachers have been
instructed to contact their students at least once weekly to check on their well-being and
answer any questions they might have pertaining to enrichment activities.

The Jackson County Central Of?ce will be closed beginning Wednesday, March 18, until
further notice. In the event you need to contact personnel, please do so by email. As we
receive news, we will be updating our website with this information. It can be accessed at
jacksonkl 2. org/updates.

Again, I urge you to do what is best for you and your family during this time. My prayers
are with each of us during this stressful time of uncertainty.
