Dear Governor Dunleavy:
On behalf of the citizens of Juneau and all Alaskans, thank you for your tireless efforts to educate the
public and to track and combat the spread of COVID19.
Our citizens are concerned about the spread of the virus by air travel and after much consideration our
Borough Assembly has asked for your intervention.
Following a unanimous vote of the Assembly, we ask that you restrict non-essential air travel into
isolated communities such as Juneau. Essential air travel includes travel to work and travelers returning
home.
For a state that is highly dependent on air travel, we know that this is a big ask. Air travel is essential, as
an example, for the express delivery of COVID19 samples and critical new testing kits.
We ask that you consider our request and make policy implementation to achieve the purposed results
of limiting the spread of COVID19.
