Grant Applications Approved on March 19, 2020
The grant applications approved today are:
1. 24-7 Telcom, Inc. County Road J & Solar Farm project - $273,300. This project will build a FiberTo-The-Premises service past 1 business and 84 residences along County Road J south of 490th
Avenue and west of 730th Street, in the Town of Red Cedar in Dunn County.
2. 24-7 Telcom, Inc. Town of Sherman fiber project a/k/a Pheasant Crossing fiber project $680,000. This project will build a Fiber-To-The-Premises service past 199 business and 223
residences in the Towns of Menomonie and Sherman, west of the Red Cedar River, in Dunn
County.
3. 24-7 Telcom, Inc. Town of Wheaton project - $79,500. This project will build a Fiber to the
Premises service past 30 residential locations in the Town of Wheaton, in Chippewa County.
4. AirFiber, Inc. Douglas County fixed wireless project - $140,000. This project will build 1 wireless
tower west of Amnicon Falls and Highway 53, in Douglas County. The fixed wireless service will
reach 45 businesses and 2,456 residential locations within the footprint of the antennas.
5. Amery Telcom, Inc. Town of Cylon project - $82,250. This project will build a Fiber to the
Premises service past 5 business and 89 residential locations in the Town of Cylon, near Deer
Park, in St. Croix County.
6. Amery Telcom, Inc. Town of Lincoln project - $81,000. This project will build a Fiber to the
Premises service past 5 business and 97 residential locations along 110th Street and 115th
Street, in the Town of Lincoln, just west of Amery, in Polk County.
7. Amherst Telephone Company. Towns of Buena Vista & Dayton project - $478,985. This project
will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 5 business and 306 residential locations in two
areas - along Highway 54 in the Town of Buena Vista in Portage County, and along Stratton Lake
Road in the Town of Dayton in Waupaca County.
8. Hager Telecom dba BEVCOMM. Diamond Bluff Phase III project - $444,211. This project will
build a Fiber to the Premises service past 10 business and 201 residential locations in the Town
of Diamond Bluff in Pierce County. This is the third and final phase of a FTTP build out in the
Diamond Bluff township.
9. Bloomer Telephone Company. Town of Colfax project - $608,538. This project will build a Fiber
to the Premises service past 2 business and 255 residential locations in the Town of Colfax in
Dunn County.
10. Bruce Telephone Company. Chippewa Avenue project - $36,307. This project will build a Fiberto-the-Premises service past 1 business and 36 residences along Chippewa Avenue, near Marsh
Lake, in the Town of Washington on the south side of Rusk County, and about 4 miles south of
Bruce, WI.
11. Bug Tussel Wireless. Kewaunee County fixed wireless project - $960,000. This project will build
7 wireless towers in Kewaunee County. The project will install 4 Cambrium 5 GHz antennas and
4 CBRS antennas (3.55 - 3.8 GHz) on each tower. The fixed wireless service will reach 199
business and 12,115 residential locations within the footprint of the antennas.

 12. Bug Tussel Wireless. Menominee County fixed wireless project - $756,000. This project will
build 5 wireless towers in Menominee County. The project will install 4 Cambrium 5 GHz
antennas and 4 CBRS antennas (3.55 - 3.8 GHz) on each tower. The fixed wireless service will
reach 50 business and 859 residential locations within the footprint of the antennas.
13. Hilbert Communications, LLC. Green County fiber route - $1,000,371. This project will build a
51.5-mile fiber route from Blanchardville to New Glarus to Monroe to Brodhead. This route is
part of a larger plan for a fiber ring in Green County that would support service to 3,379
business and 36,929 residential locations if both phases are built.
14. Hilbert Communications, LLC. Iowa County fiber route - $732,310. This project will build a 38mile fiber route from Spring Green in Sauk County, south to Dodgeville, and southeast to
Blanchardville. This route is part of a larger plan for a fiber ring in Iowa County that would
support service to 2,343 business and 23,576 residential locations if all phases are built.
15. CenturyTel of Wisconsin, LLC d/b/a CenturyLink. Boma Coulee project - $35,676. This project
will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 8 business and 59 residential locations in the Boma
Coulee area, adjacent to Highway 33 in the Town of Shelby, in La Crosse County.
16. CenturyTel of Northern Wisconsin, LLC d/b/a CenturyLink. Town of Boulder Junction fiber
project - $1,624,094. This project will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 85 business and
660 residential locations in the Boulder Junction telephone exchange in Vilas County.
17. CenturyTel of Midwest Wisconsin, LLC-Northwest d/b/a CenturyLink. Tomah Veterans
Hospital project - $11,010. This project will place a new DSLAM to upgrade the DSL service
available at locations in and near the Veterans Hospital campus in Tomah. The project will
upgrade the service for 14 business and 106 residential locations.
18. Charter Communications. Town of Anson project - $49,000. This project will build a cable
internet service along 109th Avenue (Old Abe Village subdivision) in the Town of Anson in
Chippewa County. The project will build past 60 residential locations.
19. Charter Communications. Town of Belgium project - $8,658. This project will build a cable
internet service along County Road D, east of Belgium in the Town of Belgium in Ozaukee
County. The project will build past 13 residential locations.
20. Charter Communications. Village of Fairwater project - $76,744. This project will build a cable
internet service in the Village of Fairwater, south of Ripon in Fond du Lac County. The project
will build past 181 residential locations.
21. Charter Communications. Town of Jackson project - $54,716. This project will build a cable
internet service in a subdivision along Strawberry Glen Road, just north of Highway 60 in the
Town of Jackson near the east boundary of Washington County. The project will build past 42
residential locations.
22. Charter Communications. Towns of Lincoln and Washington project - $133,645. This project
will build a cable internet service in two areas in Vilas County. The first area is in the Town of
Lincoln northeast of Eagle River. The second area is near Deerskin Lake in the Town of
Washington. The project will build past 15 business and 695 residential locations.

 23. Charter Communications. Village of Marquette project - $341,461. This project will build a
cable internet service in the Village of Marquette, in Green Lake County. The project will build
past 145 residential locations.
24. Charter Communications. Village of Randolph project - $104,034. This project will build a cable
internet service in the Village of Randolph, in Columbia and Dodge Counties. The project will
build past 81 business and 694 residential locations.
25. Charter Communications. Town of Sturgeon Bay project - $188,044. This project will build a
cable internet service along South Lake Michigan Drive, in the Town of Sturgeon Bay in Door
County. The project will build past 114 residential locations.
26. Charter Communications. Town of Woodruff project - $16,500. This project will build a cable
internet service in a subdivision west of Highway 47 at Walter Drive, in the Town of Woodruff in
Oneida County. The project will build past 76 residential locations.
27. Chibardun Telephone Cooperative. Highway T project - $71,163. This project will build a Fiber
to the Premises service past 7 business and 23 residential locations adjacent to Highway T in the
Towns of Barron and Clinton, west of the City of Barron, in Barron County. This project builds on
the FY 2017 Chibardun Town of Clinton project.
28. Chibardun Telephone Cooperative. Tuscobia project - $123,423. This project will build a Fiber
to the Premises service past 8 business and 52 residential locations along County Road SS north
of Rice Lake, in the Towns of Rice Lake and Oak Grove in Barron County. This project builds on
the FY 2019 Chibardun Lake Desair project.
29. Clear Lake Telephone Company. Village of Clear Lake - $350,000. This project will build a Fiberto-the Premises (FTTP) service past 59 business and 448 residential locations in the Village of
Clear Lake in southeast Polk County.
30. Door County Broadband, LLC. Town of Nasewaupee fixed wireless project - $65,282. This
project will build one new broadband tower located in the Town of Nasewaupee in Door
County. The project will equip the new tower and an existing structure (silo) with fixed wireless
antennas. The fixed wireless service will reach 50 businesses and 1,008 residential locations
within the footprint of the antennas.
31. e-vergent.com, LLC. Village of Yorkville fiber project - $248,458. This project will build a Fiber
to the Premises service past 126 residential locations in the Villages of Raymond and Yorkville in
Racine County.
32. Edge Broadband. Lake Lorraine area fiber project - $283,467. This project will build a Fiber to
the Premises service past 61 business and 606 residential locations in the Towns of Richmond
and Sugar Creek in Walworth County.
33. Forest County. Forest County fiber and fixed wireless project - $939,200. This project will build
and equip 17 wireless transmission tower sites in Forest County. The project will also build an
11-mile Fiber to the Premises service along roads adjacent to Metonga Lake south of Crandon.
The combined project will build past 100 business and 1,695 residential locations.
34. City of Janesville. City of Janesville Phase I fiber project - $114,230. This project will extend a
WIN fiber route to three commercial locations within Janesville.

 35. Lakeland Communications. Town of Eureka Phase III project - $153,100. This project will build
a Fiber to the Premises service past 4 business and 79 residential locations in the Town of
Eureka in Polk County.
36. Lakeland Communications. Town of Eureka Phase IV - $187,825. This project will build a Fiber
to the Premises service past 94 residential locations in the Town of Eureka, in Polk County.
37. Lakeland Communications. Town of St Croix Falls (Deer Lake) project - $41,850. This project
will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 21 residential locations near Deer Lake, in the
Town of St Croix Falls in Polk County.
38. LaValle Telephone Cooperative. Rockbridge Phase II project - $399,000. This project will build a
Fiber to the Premises service past 10 business and 165 residential locations along 3 county roads
near Highway 80, in the Town of Rockbridge in Richland County. The project builds on the FY
2019 LaValle Telephone Coop Rockbridge Phase I project.
39. LaValle Telephone Cooperative. Highway 58 fiber project - $290,000. This project will build a
Fiber to the Premises service past 10 business and 116 residential locations in the Towns of
Ithaca and Willow in Richland County, along Highway 58 east of Richland Center between
Highway 14 and Highway K.
40. Marquette-Adams Telephone Cooperative, Inc. Town of Marcellon project - $193,689. This
project will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 2 business and 133 residential locations
along Highway 33 between Highway 22 and County Road EF in Columbia County.
41. Marquette-Adams Telephone Cooperative, Inc. Town of Newport fiber project - $172,801. This
project will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 1 business and 120 residential locations
near the intersection of Highway 16 and County Road O southeast of Wisconsin Dells, in the
Town of Newport in Columbia County.
42. Marquette-Adams Telephone Cooperative, Inc. Newton fiber project - $116,808. This project
will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 2 business and 60 residential locations near the
intersection of County Roads E and B in the Town of Newton in Marquette County.
43. Mediacom LLC. Crawford County cable project - $256,685. This project will build a hybrid fibercoax cable internet service in three communities in Crawford County: Eastman, Mount Sterling,
and Seneca. The cable service will build past 27 business and 235 residential locations.
44. Nelson Communications Cooperative dba Ntec. Gehrke Road fiber project - $12,500. This
project will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 3 farms and 1 residential location along
Gehrke Road, off of Highway 37 northeast of Alma.
45. Northern Telephone & Data Corp. EAA Grounds project - $199,782. This project will build a
Fiber to the Premises service past 200 business and 44 residential locations near Wittman
Airport in Oshkosh, just east of the intersection of Highways 41 and 44.
46. Chequamegon Communications Cooperative, Inc. d/b/a Norvado. Highway 13 project $392,000. This project will build a 40-mile fiber route from Highbridge, in Ashland County, to
Park Falls, in Price County. This route will connect CCCI services areas, and will permit Norvado
to lease dark fiber to WIN and Astrea.

 47. Norvado, Inc. Town of Cloverland project - $443,000. This project will build a Fiber to the
Premises service past 6 businesses and 55 residences in the Town of Cloverland between the
Bruhle River and the west boundary of the town.
48. Brown County C-LEC, LLC d/b/a Nsight Telservices. Village of Egg Harbor Wi-Fi project $48,960. This project will connect existing fiber service to Mesh Wi-Fi equipment on poles in the
downtown area of Egg Harbor. This will enable the Village of Egg Harbor to provide a free Wi-Fi
service to the public, including residents, seasonal residents, tourists and boaters.
49. Brown County C-LEC, LLC d/b/a Nsight Telservices. Lincoln & Langlade Counties fixed wireless
project - $358,205. This project will install fixed wireless equipment on five towers located in
the communities of Tomahawk, Irma, Merrill, Gleason, and Parrish. There are 1,258 business
and 13,056 residents within the footprint of the antennas.
50. Ntera, LLC. Towns of Arthur and Estella fiber project - $397,641. This project will build a Fiber
to the Premises service past 7 business and 178 residential locations along Highway 27 and
County Road S in the Towns of Arthur and Estella in Chippewa County.
51. Ntera, LLC. Cranberry Lake fiber project - $63,117. This project will build a Fiber to the
Premises service past 7 business and 178 residential locations in three project areas near
Holcombe, in the Town of Birch Creek in Chippewa County. These areas build off the FY 2019
Ntera Town of Birch Creek project.
52. Ntera, LLC. Village of Sheldon fiber project - $238,660. This project will build a Fiber to the
Premises service in two project areas north of Holcombe: along County Road D to the Village of
Sheldon, and along Highway 27 and Oak Ridge Road. The project will pass 13 business and 156
residential locations.
53. Oconto County Economic Development Corporation. Bertram Communications Phase II fixed
wireless project - $182,058. This project will build and equip two wireless towers located in the
Towns of Spruce and Mountain in Oconto County. The fixed wireless service will reach 18
business and 301 residential locations within the footprint of the antennas.
54. Village of Orfordville. Orfordville fiber project - $303,224. This project will build a Fiber to the
Premises service throughout the Village of Orfordville, passing 30 business and 550 residential
locations.
55. Price County Telephone Company. Prentice telephone exchange fiber project - $950,000. This
project will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 27 business and 566 residential locations in
the Prentice telephone exchange.
56. Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. Red Cliff fiber route - $107,698. This project
will build a 2.5-mile fiber route between the City of Bayfield and Red Cliff, providing improved
Fiber-To-The-Premises (FTTP) service to 36 business and 704 residential locations in the Red Cliff
Tribal Lands.
57. Reedsburg Utility Commission. Town of Excelsior fiber project - $173,000. This project will
build a Fiber to the Premises service past 2 business and 70 residential locations near Terrytown
Road, northeast of Rock Springs in the Town of Excelsior in Sauk County.

 58. Reedsburg Utility Commission. River Valley Phase II project - $542,500. This project will build a
Fiber to the Premises service past 15 business and 290 residential locations in the Town of
Spring Green, west of the City of Spring Green.
59. Reedsburg Utility Commission. Reedsburg Road fiber project - $182,500. This project will build
a Fiber to the Premises service past 2 business and 232 residential locations near Reedsburg
Road just west of the Ho-Chunk casino in the Town of Delton in Sauk County.
60. Richland-Grant Telephone Cooperative, Inc. Highway 80 fiber project - $405,000. This project
will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 10 business and 140 residential locations in
Richland County. The project will bury fiber along Highway 80, along Highway 60 from Muscoda
and Orion to County Road E, and north on County Road E to Basswood.
61. SCLCOEDC. Sawyer County fiber route - $41,400. This project will build a 3-mile fiber route
from Highway 63 at Seely WI along County Road OO to the American Birkebener facility. The
project will build past 3 business and 13 residential locations.
62. Siren Telephone Company. Hayden Road fiber project - $152,447. This project will build a Fiber
to the Premises service along Hayden Road and E Yellow River Road, in the Town of Oakland in
Burnett County. The project will build past 89 residential locations.
63. Starwire Technologies. Clam Falls Phase II project (South) - $300,566. This project will build a
Fiber to the Premises service in the Town of Clam Falls in Polk County along roads south of the
FY 2019 Clam Falls project. The project will build past 11 business and 103 residential locations.
64. Midway Telephone Company, LLC d/b/a TDS Telecom. Stetsonville telephone exchange fiber
project - $265,460. This project will build a Fiber to the Premises service in the Village of
Stetsonville and adjacent rural area, in Taylor County. The project will build past 26 business
and 303 residential locations.
65. Mosinee Telephone Company. Mosinee telephone exchange project - $1,058,610. This project
will build 21.85 miles of new fiber to 34 service nodes in TDS Mosinee telephone exchange. The
project will upgrade the DSL service for 92 businesses and 1,140 residential locations.
66. Tech Com, Inc. d/b/a Genuine Telecom. Richland County fiber project - $228,000. This project
will build a Fiber to the Premises service along several roads outside of Richland Center, in
Richland County. The project will build past 10 business and 112 residential locations.
67. Union Telephone Company. Towns of Hancock & Colburn fiber project - $598,805. This project
will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 5 business and 235 residential locations in the
Towns of Hancock and Colburn, in Waushara and Adams County.
68. US Internet. Light the Lake fiber project - $2,250,000. This project will build a Fiber to the
Premises service past 2,620 locations in the Towns of Poygan and Winneconne, in Winnebago
County.
69. Vernon Communications Cooperative. Village of De Soto fiber project - $129,525. Vernon
Communications Cooperative will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 40 business and 100
residential locations in the Village of De Soto and south along Highway 35 in Vernon County.
70. Vernon Communications Cooperative. Rural Vernon County Broadband Phase 4 - $472,600.
This project will build a Fiber to the Premises service past 58 business and 265 residential
locations in Vernon County.

 71. Wittenberg Telephone Company, Inc. Bowler, Stockbridge-Munsee fiber project, Phase 1 $457,508. Wittenberg Telephone Company, Inc. will build Fiber to the Premises service past 25
business and 200 residential locations on the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal land and in the Village
of Bowler.
72. Wittenberg Telephone Company. Marathon City fiber and fixed wireless project - $36,902. This
project will build a combination of Fiber to the Premises and fixed wireless internet services past
2 business and 22 residential locations near Marathon City, in Marathon County.
