UC SanDiego -- UCSD Transportation Service Revisions - Spring Quarter 2020 1 message UC San Dlego ucsd edu> Thu, Mar 26, 2020 at 12:14 PM Reili-To: UC San Dleia Transponalion ucsd edu> TRANSPORTATION SERVICES UC San Diegg Fellow Tritons. In the face of the (novel coronavirus) event and consistent with Federal, State, Local, and Institutional guidance we are providing only limited service to support essential university operations while also supporting social distancing for customers and staff. The following temporary provisions begin Monday, March 30, 2020, and are expected to remain in place for the duration of spring quarter. We will provide additional updates if further modifications are needed to support university operations or customer demand. Thank you for your patience and support as we work to maintain the health and wellbeing of our UC San Diego community while supporting essential mobility needs. Be well. Transportation Services PARKING La Jolla and Hillcrest 855.534.4223, edu . A, B, S, permits are interchangeable in regular spaces. This means that. A, B, S & D permits are interchangeable in regular (see below) A, B, S spaces. Where 24/7 parking restrictions are posted (e.g. "A permit required 24 hours a day / 7 days a week"), those restrictions remain in force. A, B, S, D, Night/Weekend, and Off-Peak permits upgrade for use in V (visitor) spaces at 4 p.m. daily with the exception of spaces located at the Gilman Parking Structure and Patient/Visitor spaces at UC San Diego Health. Weekend parking rates will apply during the week. This means that: Faculty, staff, and students can park for just $4 using the Parkmobile app and parking zone number 4762 Individuals coming to campus for one hour or less, can park for free using the Parkmobile app and the parking zone number posted where they are parking. After the first hour free, campus visitors may park for $1.50/hour with a daily maximum charge of $6. Regulations impacting safety and access continue to be enforced (e.g. fire lanes, patient parking restrictions, loading zones, reserved lots, and time-limited stalls). Parking and Transportation physical offices remain closed; we will operate a virtual office with most services available online, by telephone, or by email from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays, excluding the Cesar Chavez day holiday (3/27). Valet operations (campus only) remain suspended. Health System patient valet operations continue. Limited construction parking is being provided on the central campus. If you are on campus, you may observe contractors from NTPLLN parking in Pangea and contractors from Franklin Antonio Hall parking in Hopkins. This is to eliminate the shuttling of contractors which has proven impractical within social distancing guidelines. You can cancel your payroll deduction or prepaid monthly, quarterly, or annual parking permit and receive a prorated refund. Cut your permit in half and send a photo to parking@ucsd.edu with the subject "Cancel My Deduction" or "Refund My Permit". Cancellation requests received by Friday, April 3, 2020 will be eligible for a full-refund of previously paid April parking fees. We are developing a solution for individuals with prepaid scratch-off permits that will expire before they can be used and will share that with the campus soon. TRITON TRANSIT AND MOBILITY La Jolla and Hillcrest 855.534.7422, TellTPS@ucsd.edu If you must travel within the campus, we recommend that you maintain social distance by walking, bicycling, or using private or university automobiles. Hillcrest / Medical Center Shuttle will operate on the regular schedule with reduced capacity to support social distancing. South Campus Shuttle and Mesa Nueva Shuttle will be integrated and operate as the South Campus shuttle with fifteen minute frequency. SIO Shuttle will operate with 30 minute frequency. First pickup will be at Mandeville Loop at 6am and the last pickup will be at SIO at 6:45pm. Grocery Shuttle will continue until further notice but with limited capacity to support social distancing. We are evaluating additional and alternative ways to support access to fresh and culturally responsive food options for campus residents. West Campus Shuttle will not operate. North Campus Shuttle will not operate. Weekend Shuttle will not operate. Triton Mobility (ADA) service continues. Individuals with limited mobility who do not have access to another form of intracampus transportation should call 858-534-7422. ProRide service is suspended.
