FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On March 27th, 2020, The Steuben County Health Department was notified that a COVID-19 positive
patient was currently in an Allen County hospital. This patient is an employee of Fremont Community
Schools. We understand how startling this situation is for all of the faculty and families in the Fremont
area. We have been in communication with the Superintendent of Fremont Community Schools and the
Indiana State Department of Health epidemiologist.
We want to strongly urge faculty and families of the following measures:

Staying at home
Monitor for fever, cough or shortness of breath
Maintaining social distancing (6 ft.)
Frequent handwashing

We want to remind the community that only individuals that reside in our county would be reported to the
department directly.
