industry as a cleaner, consultant, trainer and expert witness and is
certified as a Registered Executive Housekeeper (REH) by the
International Executive Housekeepers Association (www.IEHA.org) and
a Trainer for the Certified Surgical Suite Training Program by the
American Hospital Environmental Services Association (AHE)
He is the author of the Comprehensive Custodial Training
Manual, How to Sell and Price Contract Cleaning, How to Start and
Operate a Successful Cleaning Business, and other books and manuals,
as well as over 400 articles on cleaning, maintenance and selfemployment.
He has been a regular contributor to Cleaning & Maintenance
Management, Cleanfax and other industry publications and is a Master Trainer for the Cleaning
Management Institute’s “Custodial Technician” and “Train the Trainer” programs

He is certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification
(www.iicrc.org) as a Master Cleaner, and is an active carpet, wood, and hard-surface-flooring
inspector and approved IICRC instructor and school for carpet (CCT & CMT), Stone (SMT) and
Hard Floor (FCT) courses, and Wood Floor Maintenance Tech (WFMT) courses.
Griffin has extensive experience as a consultant, expert witness, speaker and seminar
leader to government agencies, manufacturers, associations, and private businesses of all
types and sizes throughout the world. He is an Assessor, Consultant and Instructor for the
International Sanitary Supply Association’s, Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS)
