One telephone number in the CAU analysis of
Chmiel's phone was linked to a highly classified CIA cable.
The completion of the closing communication for this case was
delayed in anticipation of receiving information about this
cable and including this information in this communication.
However, the FBI has been found not to have been included on
distribution for this cable, and so receipt of this cable, if
possible, will likely take a significant time period. For
this reason, further delay of this closing communication is
not deemed feasible. If this cable is received and provides
further adverse information on Chmiel, consideration will be
given to reopening this case.
