Re: Audit finding relating to falsification of records

Dear Community Corrections Board Member:
The results of the last audit of the San Luis Valley Community Corrections facility contain information about the
falsification of records done for the purpose of deceiving auditors from the Division of Criminal Justice. This
behavior could be evidence of criminal activity, including but not limited to Attempt to Influence a Public Servant
under C.R.S. 18-8-306. This activity, and any investigation related thereto, would be within the jurisdiction of local
law enforcement and the authorities within the 12th Judicial District. If such an investigation is undertaken, the
Division of Criminal Justice will cooperate fully by providing the documentation within our possession and will
make our personnel available for interviews or other assistance.
