In the wake of the campus-wide emergency caused by COVID-19, we will be amending the
ASUCSD Election Code in the following manner, valid only for the 2020 Election, as per the
amendment made to Article VII, Section 3 of the ASUCSD Constitution:
● “In the event of a campus-wide emergency, AS Elections may be halted, and
candidates previously registered will be put on a separate ballot for a special
election called by the current AS President, running in accordance with the
special election rules outlined within this document.”
● Additionally, Chapter 6, A.3. of the Election Code will be amended to read:
“Once approved, the fee referendum question ​may​ appear in the next election for
which it is eligible”.
These amendments to the ASUCSD Election Code will go into effect immediately.
