PALESTINE: FRIEND OR FOE ‘Pay for Slay ‘ The adage of … “A Bad Neighbor is as great a Plague as a Good one is a Great Blessing.” Excerpt from the recently released book, ‘First Comes the Mosque’ By GEORGE H. HASSANZADEH The history of Iran bears out that the Arab Bedouins raided, plundered, slaughtered and took men, women and children and anything else worth taking, and vanished into the desert where Iranians could never follow. This was way before the seventh century, the advent of Islam. Iranians of those days never developed a task force to combat this dreadful situation. The Arabs got bolder and more daring with each raid. The sixteenth-century Arabs brought two distinct significant dilemmas into Iran as their only skill, the first, the Sunni-Shi’a conflict, and the second, anti-Semitism and the extreme hostility and discrimination against Iranian-Jewish citizens. In the more modern times, the openly cynical attitude that exists between Iranians and the Arab Shiite institutions shifted to a higher gear when the government of the Shah as a Muslim-majority nation, recognized Israel as a sovereign state in 1952. Sadly, while the relations between Israel and Iran significantly improved in trade and technology, the Islamic Revolution of 1979 response toward the nation radically detracted from this success. “Since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, Arabs have been a dagger in the heart of Iranians and Palestine a thorn on the side of Iran,” said Sima, an irate Iranian woman at a gathering in Los Angeles, California. She added, “Iran’s Shiite institution never understood that ‘peace on Earth, goodwill toward Men’ is an essential part of any flourishing nation.” She received a long applauded by the frustrated Iranian-Americans. True, the Arab clerics forced Iranians to ally with foreign Arab people such as Palestinians, Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis, and particularly, the‘enemy within, ’Iran’s Arab ayatollahs. The same history attests to the reality that Shi’a majority Iranians never came to support their Jewish, Christian, Baha’is, Sunnis Muslims, or the Zoroastrians citizens at the time of need. What’s more, Muslim Iranians stayed silent when their citizens of other belief were systematically persecuted and discriminated against by Iran’s Arab Shiite institution. In the year 586 BC, Jews were displaced from their land and sent into captivity to Babylon by the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar. King Nebuchadnezzar destroyed their temple and kingdom in Jerusalem; decades later, Cyrus the Great (600 BC-530 BC), the emperor of Persia, conquered Babylonia and freed the Jews. He not only facilitated the return of the Jews to their homeland but also saw into the rebuilding of their temple in Jerusalem. The Purim celebration is the feast of Esther, rejoicing the deliverance of the Persian Jews from hatred of Haman the ‘Agagite or Haman the evil.’ Pre-Arab Islam was the most inspiring and joyful time in pre-modern Iran. Rituals were shared by those of different faiths who lived side by side, and often persons of one denomination, inspired by the season or festive activities, exchanged gifts and participated in other people’s joyful ceremonies. The arrival of Arab and Arab Islam in Iran meant an end to culture, cultural diversity, and interfaith harmony. Arab Islam in Iran has been openly and in direct conflict with Judaism, Baha’ism, Christianity, Sunni Muslims, and the Zoroastrianism. In the 1979 Arab coup d’état, Khomeini cut off all diplomatic and commercial ties with Israel. In addition, the Islamic government declared that it does not recognize the legitimacy of Israel as a state, a complete about-face from the Shah’s government of 1952’s recognition of the State of Israel. What’s more, Khomeini designated Israel as the top enemy that must be destroyed, whether Iranians approve of it or not. In fact, Iranians had nosay at all. It was all the Arabs doing. Such was the fate of many of the Shah’s positive reforms, reversed by the Islamic Revolution, and the nation was helpless in response. The Israeli Embassy in Tehran was ransacked. However, a few days later, the building was refurbished, staffed by Shi’a mullahs, and handed to the Palestinians with the nation bearing the cost. Shokooh Mirzadegi, in an article titled “Quds Daily Market,” writes that “Quds Day is neither a Palestinian’s choice nor any tie, empathy, or any help for the Palestine people.”1 She noted that Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Ebrahim Yazdi (1931-2017), in the spring of 1979 at Friday Prayers, suggested, ‘It is more appropriate to designate the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the ‘Quds Day,’ than celebrate the Palestinian Liberation Organization the ‘PLO Day.’ Khomeini quickly grasped the significance of such an opportunity. The Palestinian Liberation Organization, founded in 1964, was created with the purpose of liberating Palestine through armed struggle aimed at Israeli people, with headquarters in Ramallah, West Bank. The key reason that ‘PLO Day’ was changed to ‘Quds Day’ was that the PLO was limited in its scope (directed at Israel only) and did not appeal to all Muslims, especially to the Iranians. Looking for a way to implement his principle objective, Khomeini, who was tooting his horn for the oppressed Palestinian people, found a much-suited tool.”2 Khomeini made official the last Friday of the Month of Ramadan (June 23, 1979) as Quds Day and declared, “The Quds Day is not only the Palestine’s Day, it is the ‘Islamic Governing Day,’ it is the day that the Islamic Republic flag shall fly all over the world’s capitals. It is a day to remind the superpowers that they no longer can transgress in the Islamic world. I recognize the Quds Day as the Prophet Mohammad’s day, (it later changed to Mehdi’s day) as the day of Islam. It is the day of the exploited against the exploiter; we must mobilize all our forces to face the oppressors.” Khomeini designated the Quds Day to be commemorated as one of the biggest parts of the Islamic revolution. For years, the Islamic regime observed the pomp-and-circumstance radical marches. Khomeini asked Iranians to come out into the streets, beat their chests, and cry rivers in public, to show their grief for peace in Palestine, while behind the closed door they were dead set against any peace between Palestine and Israel and indeed derailed any possibility of peace between the two. The reason: the Palestinian people and their plight became a tool in the hands of Iran’s Arab clerics to advance their own revolutionary agenda. The ‘Quds Day’ became a Historical Day. Quds Forces began its first operation by overtaking the American Embassy in Tehran and taking Americans as hostage. As a ploy to get worldwide Muslims behind their Islamic Revolution, the Palestine issue took priority over anything else. It united many Muslim countries, Sunni and Shi’a, behind Khomeini and gave a seemingly realistic reason for the Arab clerics to go after secular-minded Iranians, such as journalists, teachers, and the intellectuals who opposed or were perceived as nonconformist. The Palestine conflict played a key role in enriching Iran’s Arab Shi’a influence among the entire Muslim community. As part of Phase Two of the Shiite’s “triangle of terror” to unite all Arab Shia states under the control of Iran’s Shiite leadership, Palestine was essential. By joining Palestinians in their struggle with Israel, Iran Arab mullahs made major gains in Arab countries such as Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and many Muslim African nations. Ironically, rumor has it that the death of the former president of Iran, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani (1934-2017), that shocked Iranians was at least partly caused by his reconsidering policy on the grim progress in Iran, the Palestinian setback, and the future of the Islamic Republic. Many Iranians believe Rafsanjani sudden change in almost the opposite direction, asking for better relations with the West and less involvement with Syria and Palestine was in conflict with the country’s hard-liners and thus the cause of his demise. His family believes the Russian-Style method of assassination by Polonium 210 brought forth his death. They asked for an investigation as to why his body had unusually high radiation levels. In the beginning days of Khomeini’s revolution, then Palestinian Chairman Yasser Arafat (born1929 in Egypt died in 2004 in France) made several ‘gainful’ trips to Tehran to establish ties and seek assistance. He and the Arab Iranians solidified a permanent anti-Israel group tied to Tehran, such as Islamic jihadists, Hezbollah, Hamas, and other organizations. Witnesses at the summit say Arafat was so overwhelmed and enthused, at the occasion of meeting Khomeini, that he stood up several times to hug and kiss Khomeini. At one point, Arafat dropped down at Khomeini’s feet and Ayatollah Beheshti picked him up and helped him back to his seat. That was the first and last time Arafat met personally with Khomeini, even though he visited Iran a few more times. The government of the mullahs provided Palestinians with a significant amount of cash and weaponry, even fighter jets, to be used against Israel. “We loaded up Arafat’s airplane with suitcases filled with American dollars,” said an anonymous employee. For the unfortunate Iranians, the pact with the Palestinians was lopsided. Arab Khomeini gave Arab Arafat money which came from Iranians, as well as weapons and other assistance. In return, Iran received from the Palestinians and Hezbollah of Lebanon, armies of hoodlums, violent criminals, and medieval executioners with which they suppressed and terrorize Iranian families. The imported Arabs are paid by the government of mullahs to arrest, jail, torture, and assassinate Iranian dissidents inside and abroad. Today’s action of Iran’s Arab Shiite leaders is identical to the sixteenth-century Shiite Shah Ismail 1, who imported the forbearers of the same Arab Shiite from the same area to forcefully convert the Sunni Iranians, except, today’s Arabs are after all Iranians, Sunnis, minority Iranians. Iran is now officially home to Lebanese terrorists (Hezbollah), Palestinian criminals, and Syrian brutes. The trained revolutionaries start as body guards to Iran’s Arab mullahs and work as their strong-armed enforcers. The criminals are cared for, pampered, and overpaid. Since Iran’s Shiite Arab institution’s most critical social function is intimidation, fraud, and the use of force. These cold-blooded heavies enjoy their job of suppressing the Iranians. They have unrestricted power to knock on any door, detain anyone, beat, and often torture their victims in front of their families. The cries of Iranians, whose innocent children are seized, raped, tortured, and executed by Hezbollah militia and Palestinian terrorists hired by Iran’s Arab clerics, are not heard by world organizations in order to hold the perpetrators accountable. Now, the idea of revenge is not only in the minds and hearts of long-suffering Sunni Iranians, but also the entire oppressed nation. And the detestation of the Arabs runs deep. In an article by Kaveh Parsayan, titled “Here’s the Deal,” “We pay you millions, you beat our people!”3 If challengers to the mullah’s regime decide to stage a public demonstration in Iran, they not only face the regular police force but also the undercover Revolutionary Guard, Basij militiamen, heavies from Lebanon’s Hezbollah, sadistic Syrian exterminators, and finally, yes, The Palestinian’s tough guys. The harshest criticisms of Palestine and Hezbollah have come from one of the Islamic Republic’s own members of the parliament; Sakineh Almasi, representing the Kangan, Asaluyeh, and Bushehr Districts, in Iran. Addressing President Hassan Rouhani in the parliament, she angrily shouted, “Palestine is a nasty leech sucking the blood out of Iranians. “Mr. Rouhani…, you are trusted as the guardian and the protector of our unfortunate people and yet, you have failed us to the highest degree. On what basis do you allow people’s treasury to be ransacked (hefty figures) in the name of ‘aiding Palestinian’ and permit the plunder to go on? You [are] for a longtime, pretending not to see and have chosen to remain silent. “Mr. Rouhani…, have you forgotten? These are the same Palestinian Arabs that refused donated Iranian blood for their wounded, claiming, Shiite Blood is ‘Najis’ [dirty], untouchable and return them. “Mr. Rouhani…, these are the same Palestinian Arabs having ‘five Israeli players’ on their soccer team, yet Iran bans our athletes from competing against Israeli athletes, not even allowed a handshake. “Mr. Rouhani…, please pull-down your bullet proof tinted car window, and take a look. Do our destitute people laying in the streets need more help or, the ungrateful Arab Palestinians? “Mr. Rouhani...,perhaps you believe your own lies when you say the inflation is only 12 percent, thus celebrating your overly-generousness gesture with Iranians’ money and allowed yourself to give each Palestinian household the sum of $7.000.00.”4 WARNING… Palestinian, Lebanese, Iraqi and Syrian leaders must realize and remember that they are just as responsible for the terror, murder, and suppression of innocent Iranians as are their kinsman, the Arab clerics of Iran. Palestinian leaders should know that when the mullahs’ house of cards collapse and it surely will, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon will not have a single friend among Iranians. In fact, observing the overwhelming sentiment of the Iranians toward Israel today, no doubt Iranians will instantly demolish the “Palestinian Embassy,” and at its site will build an Israeli Embassy and possibly close and trash the Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi, Jordanian, and all other embassies of Iran’s Arab enemies. The only exceptions will probably be the Egyptian and Saudi Embassies. Since the unwelcome arrival of the Arab Muslims, their institution has drenched the minds of Iranians with one-sided toxic illogicality regarding the Jews of Iran and the world Jewry. Iranians were never allowed to ask or to see for themselves why they are told to hate the very people whom for centuries have contributed, in every meaningful way, to the modernization and wellbeing of their nation. Or, why the Persian society whose beloved Jewish Empress, the ‘Queen Esther’ (478 BCE), the wife of their favorite ‘King Ahasuerus’ [Khashayar Shah], that is revered in their history books should be disparaged and forgotten. Iran will never forget the murder of its sons and daughters at the hands of Arab killers directed by an illegitimate Arab Islamist hegemony. 1. Shokooh Mirzadegi, Ferdosi Emrooz, June 2018 # 414.
