HDC/HRC/SDC Economic Resiliency & Business Recovery Plan – Step 1 Request: Provide a list of businesses that could start to re-open with adherence to strict public health guidelines. The table below lists certain types of businesses the Governor’s Office, in consultation with the Department of Health, should consider for re-opening following strict public health guidelines if the industry determines compliance is possible. Additional considerations include:  Use of PPE should be limited, and alternatives such as homemade cloth masks should be recommended until supply chain issues are resolved.  Require county public health organizations to provide advice via county Associated Development Organizations (ADOs, such as economic development organizations) on how to comply with public health guidelines.  Consider providing technical assistance grants to local Chambers, Main Streetaffiliated organizations, Business Improvement Area-funded organizations, downtown associations and other non-profit organizations with expertise to offer technical assistance to local businesses. Mandate funding goes toward helping businesses understand rules and regulations for re-opening under these strict guidelines, as well as accessing other types of financial assistance and support.
