Like so many small organizations, schools and businesses, my client is struggling with the current crisis since its closure, March 12, 2020. However, my client?s decision to reopen has been made after consultation with all available state and local authorities. It is their understanding that their actions are in compliance with all regulatory requirements. That would also hold true for social distancing, protective measures and other speci?c requirements needed in light of the pandemic. Let me further point out that other pre-schools and day care facilities have remained open to serve the needs of essential personnel during my clients closure period. It is their intention to- re- open the pre-school on April 27, 2020 and the elementary school, May4, 2020. Additionally, my client has compensated its staff for all time they worked and for three weeks beyond. Attempts are currently being made to obtain available emergency loans or funding to continue to pay the staff. I must reiterate that any and all actions taken by my client are permissible based on their understanding of state and local regulations and with further consideration of the needs and best interest of the students. Sincerely/ nD. Harris, Jr.
