The fencing must be a minimum of 9 feet and a maximum of 10 feet tall. (existing adjacent structure is 10 feet). The fencing must also match the current style of the existing adjacent structure (see the attached photos). Current roofing/awnings have a pitch of approximately 1 ft. for every 20 ft. and a height of approximately 9 to 10 ft. The current locking mechanism is a cypher lock (see attached lock photo). Q5) A5) Are pictures of the current locking mechanism available? There is no current locking mechanism picture available. A cypher lock similar to the one in the attached picture will be installed on a flat gate. Q6) A6) What is the playground equipment fall height? The play surface should be compliant with ASTM F-1292-99 and a fall height of 6 feet (or higher). Q7) A7) Are non-GSA quotations acceptable? RFQ 70B03C20Q0153 is not a GSA Schedule requirement or solicitation. Q8) To what extent is the contractor supposed to stabilize and level the 1800 sf existing asphalt area since the child recreation area is “temporary in nature”? The current area (parking) is assumed to be stable and level at present. Leveling and stabilization of the asphalt, if any, should be minimal in nature. A8) Q9) A9) Is the intent to build an enclosed area similar to that of the sally port building in attachment c & d? The intention is for the CRA to be an enclosed space, visually and mechanically similar to the current facilities. The CRA is intended to keep children and recreation equipment (soccer/playground balls or similar) contained, despite enthusiastic play. Q10) How far is the electrical panel from the proposed location in order to install detention grade lighting? A10) The appropriate electrical panel is approximately 50 feet from the southeast corner of the CRA. The contractor will install Vandal Resistant lighting fixtures. The output of the lighting fixtures should provide effective, even lighting to the CRA play surface. Q11) To what degree of design (engineering) is CBP looking for when dealing with water run-off redirection? Q12) From the CO: The following requirements are mandatory and will be formally incorporated into the statement of work. A12) The contractor will provide and install electrical including an outdoor electrical panel (of sufficient amperage) to safely and properly support: 1) the overhead lighting; 2) two (2) standard 110 volt, 20 amp outlets (one on each end of the CRA); 3) one (1) standard 220 volt (4-prong type) outlet.
