Notice of Layoffs: Dovon Drilling. Inc.
Dear Ms. Erben:

This letter is to inform you that as a result of the unforeseen business circumstances resulting from the
sudden and dramatic effects of the coronavirus outbreak, the declaration of a national emergency and
the drop in oil prices on our business and client?s operations, Doyon Drilling will be demobilizing its Rig
fleet on the Alaska North Slope and conducting layoffs. This action is anticipated to be permanent until
the crisis is over and the industry recovers. Employee separations in connection with this action began
on April 7, 2020 when DDI was notified by the clients to demobilize our rig fleet and will continue
through May 2020.

We apologize that we were unable to provide to you a more advance notice of this action. The speed
and vast reach of the coronavirus outbreak, as well as the declaration of a national emergency and state
mandates for individuals to avoid congregating, limit travel and mandatory quarantining on our remote
workforce was unforeseeable and caused and will continue to have a severe impact of our business.
After reviewing our staffing and business needs, we are providing this notice at the earliest possible
time.
