Purpose: To provide interim guidance on rendering a medical quali?cation determination for an applicant with
a history of continued 

instructions: All I55 MEPS and one RPS will implement the following:

1. An applicant with a positive MEPS screening for but without confirmation by either a
laboratory test or clinician diagnosis. will be allowed to return to the MEPS to continue processing
after the 14-day date has been met the current version of reference Upon return to the
MEPS. the applicant will be processed MW references and {la} unless otherwise stated in this
information message.

I. An applicant with a history ofE?DVlD-l?. continued by either a laboratory test or clinician diagnosis.
will be authorized to process days after the documented date of diagnosis. The applicant will submit
either as a presereen or as a med read. all supporting medical documentation pertaining to the (SQUID-
ltit diagnosis. The supporting medical documentation should include all clinical notes pertaining to
diagnostic testing. treatment and prognosis.

3. During the presereen process. a reported history of con?rmed will he annotated as
?Considered Disqualifying" (CD) and documented in Section of the DD Form 2807-2. The DoDl
til section 5.30.1 will he cited with the AP approved code 222.9. ?Processing Not

Justi?ed" will not he used as a prescreen determination for an applicant with a history of
confirmed 9.

4. During the medical history interview or examination. a history continued lay either a
laboratory test or clinician diagnosis. is permanently disqualifying. and the PULHES letter
designator will he annotated as in item rs on the DD Form 2303. The section
5.Jt}.a. will he cited in item 79 with the AP approved lCD-lt} code 2.22.9 in items and Til. Item 52

"Dther" from the DD Form 2303 will he used as the associated item number for annotation.

5. All other applicant screening or processing not detailed in this information message will he conducted
