A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, DIRECTING ALL CITY DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICIALS TO ABIDE BY EMERGENCY ORDER RELATED TO FACE COVERINGS WHEREAS, on June 1, 2020, the City Manager, in her capacity as the Director of Emergency Services, instituted Emergency Order No. 2020-18 (?Order?) requiring City employees to wear cloth face coverings to conform with what is required for businesses and other government facilities; and WHEREAS, Council wishes to make the Order applicable to all City departments and officials. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows: 1. Emergency Order No. 2020-18 shall be applicable to all City departments and officials, including the Mayor, Manager, Councilmembers, Council offices, City Clerk?s Office, and City Attorney?s Office. 2. For officials and employees other than Councilmembers, the failure to comply with the Order may result in discipline, similar to violations of other City policies; for willful and persistent violations by a Councilmember, that Councilmember shall forfeit the opportunity to serve on any Council committee or leadership position. This resolution shall supersede any other rule, resolution, or ordinance to the contrary. 3.
