Emall: gov Ohio Justice and Policy Center 215 9th Street Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 Dear Mr. Singleton, Ms. Naiman and Ms. Roley: I have seen the recommendations that you, through OJPC and the Black United Front, are intending to announce today at City Hall. Thank you for jump-starting the process of reform with some specific ideas. Of course there will be others, and these recommendations need a full airing and review, but they are worthy of consideration. As you know, there is tremendous youth and energy among the protests, and I am eager to meet with the leadership of these groups. lam aware that there are several different groups and am willing to have a series of meetings with different leadership, or combined, or both. Please view this letter as an invitation to you to discuss your recommendations. Please also view this letter as an invitation to meet the newer leaders emerging with the protests. I am independently working to reach out and meet them, but would welcome your assistance. Over the last week I have been impressed by their resolve and inspired by their conviction to obtain justice for George Floyd and insistence that racism must be addressed right now. I also appreciate their commitment to protesting peacefully. Let us have productive discussion(s) about what changes needs to occur to move forward and how we can accomplish that together. It is clear that people like me need to listen. I am available to meet in the coming days. I look forward to starting this dialogue.
