Request Under The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“The Act”)
Thank you for your correspondence of 30 April 2020 where you asked for the
following information:
“I am requesting information related to the cost to the Council of commissioning
a portrait of former Lord Provost Sadie Docherty.
I would like to know how much the portrait cost and from what budget it was
paid from.”
The Council is treating your request as a request for information under the Freedom
of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. We can confirm that the Council holds the
information that you have requested.
The Council’s response to your request is set out in the Annex to this letter.
Right to Request a Review

your request. The notice will state the decision reached by the reviewing officer as
well as details of how to appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner if you are

Commissioner.

Response
I am requesting information related to the cost to the Council of
commissioning a portrait of former Lord Provost Sadie Docherty.
I would like to know how much the portrait cost and from what budget it was
paid from.
We can confirm that the costs in relation to the portrait of the former Lord Provost
Sadie Docherty was £15,000 plus VAT, totalling £18,000. This cost was met from the
Lord Provosts Expenses budget.
