A All Students Return with Safety Precautions (continued) Busing continues its regular schedule with only 2 students per seat; Additional cleaning and PPE will be implemented in accordance with CDC, Ohio and Butler County COVID-19 guidelines, including: Health checks, including temperature, assessment at home by everyone before entering school or bus each morning; Hand sanitizer at every entry and classroom; and Each classroom will be equipped with cleaning supplies to sanitize work areas throughout the day. All staff will be required to wear a mask or face covering unless they can maintain 6' of distance from others; All students will be required to wear masks unless they are 6' apart, with mask breaks given during the day; and WE are prepared to move to option 'B' or 'C' if necessary. B Balanced Approach: Students Return with Restrictions Students in grades K-6 will learn at school every day with up to 18 students per classroom to follow 6' physical distancing guidelines; All learning spaces will be used as classrooms in K-6 buildings to accommodate physical distancing and still allow for all students to attend daily, with teachers rotating between classrooms; This is not possible at the junior and high school buildings, which will move to a hybrid model combining in-person and remote learning: Students in grades 7-12 attend school every other day according to alphabetical assignment, with students in the same family attending school on the same day; Grades 7-12 follow block schedule to limit the number of transitions per classroom; and Online assignments for grades 7-12 when not in school. Virtual Learning Option 100% online learning option for families who prefer a virtual education; Students, or their family members, with high-risk health conditions will have priority; Families are asked to commit to the full first semester; and Lakota-created curriculum and Lakota teachers oversee the program.
