Filing # 106873305 E-Filed 04/29/2020 07:06:01 PM IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE SIXTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, IN AND FOR PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA PROBATE DIVISION In Re: The Guardianship of Case number: 18-000832-GD GENYTE DIRSE, Ward ______________________________/ CORRESPONDENCE To: Ms. Jean J. Farnan 574 JOHNS PASS AVE MADEIRA BEACH, FL 33708 E-Mail: Mr. GEDIMINAS PAKALNIS, a lawful blood relative and the only relative of Ms. GENYTE DIRSE in the United States submits this letter to the Guardian Ms. JEAN P. FARNAN and addresses as follows: Dear Ms. FARNAN, Thank you for any possible information about our family member Ms. GENYTE DIRSE. Unfortunately, I can only communicate with you through the Court filings. You have the pending Litigation against me in Civil Court 18-002781-CI and I also have the Order from the previous Guardian who was removed due to the arrest 19-13778-CF, and who had sought and achieved the Order not permitting the disclosure of my aunt’s location through direct or indirect meaning issued by the Court on April 12th, 2019. I and you Ms. FARNAN, through your attorney, have serious arguments in the Appeal’s Court in which you’re the party and you preparing multiple pleadings 19-1863. Our family is very sad because we could have prevented my aunt from getting Corona virus. Ms. GENYTE DIRSE has an apartment and has her house right near beautiful beach where she could be enjoying healthy and natural environment, as well as our family, and she would be having all the tools to prevent her from getting the Coronal virus. My aunt has family members who really love her and can take care of her living in her favorite place which is her home in St. Pete Beach, and other facility was not necessary for my aunt and apparently was unsafe for her. On March 26th, 2020, I made the official letter/correspondence and filed within the Court addressed to you, through your attorney Mr. HAMDEN BASKIN, and I asked you for any possible information regarding my aunt and how she is doing, and if she is safe in the undisclosed facility during this COVID-19 Pandemic. Please be directed to my first CORRESPONDENCE (EXHIBIT #1) which was sent and addressed to you on March 26th, 2020, through your Counsel. I’ve been asking any permitted information about my aunt during this COVID-19 Pandemic and I believed that working together would prevent my aunt from this public health crisis and she could be safe. I expected you Ms. FARNAN and your attorney Mr. HAMDEN BASKIN to react since I learned that assisting living facilities are very affected by Corona virus in Florida but unfortunately, I was ignored. Nevertheless, you chose to prepare multiple pleadings to the Appeal’s Court and demand for hearings that are not in the best interest of Ms. GENYTE DIRSE. A month ago, we could have prevented my aunt from catching the Corona Virus. My aunt has educated family who never committed any crime and we have healthy environment and people who love her and can take care of her at any time at no cost. The best interest of my aunt is not to be isolated and separated and be able to receive video calls, or at least calls from family members especially right now during the International COVID-19 Pandemic when elderly people are alone in facilities and need psychological and emotional support and care from people they love. Our family is concerned when Corona virus entered my aunt’s facility which is kept under confidentiality and why nobody warned us about this. We did not get the chance to save GENYTE DIRSE from catching this virus. We could have moved her into her home or my home where she would be safe before she got sick. We should have been alerted that the virus had been detected in the facility. The Department of Health is now directing nursing home officials to tell residents and families within 24 hours of learning of a suspected COVID-19 case. It cannot be kept in secret. Despite the fact that my aunt, GENYTE DIRSE, is not the US Citizen yet and holds the Permanent residency status, she has the same human and constitutional rights and she cannot be discriminated. Wherefore, MY FAMILY IS ASKING AND I’M ASKING YOU TO ORGANIZE THE CALL SO I CAN TALK WITH MY AUNT AND SUPPORT HER WHEN SHE IS FIGHTING IN THIS LIFE BATTLE ALONE IN A HOSPITAL. I ALSO ASK YOU FOR ANY INFORMATION AND FOLLOW UP ABOUT MY AUNT EVERY DAY. Please be aware that I don’t want to violate the Court’s Order issued on April 12th, 2019 (not permitting my aunts location to be disclosed through direct or indirect means). There are multiple ways how the call can be arranged between me and my aunt: -via Skype -via What’s App My phone number: My Skype name: Please arrange the possibility to talk to her at your earliest convenience. My aunt’s birthday and the Mother’s Day in our culture is this coming weekend and these are important two celebrations for us. Thank you.
