Over the past several months, the people of New York City have experienced unprecedented events and
challenges, including the CO pandemic. in response to these challenges, and to ensure public safety, the
NYPD undertook a reallocation of resources which deployed many officers into the field and away from
administrative assignments. The NYPD recognizes the importance of producing body worn camera footage in a
timely manner and is working with to produce recent protest-related videos expeditiously. As reference,
NYPD just completed 130 protest case requests resulting in the sharing of 703 videos to 0033 in a period of 2
weeks.
