1. A recommendation that the Testing Surge Workgroup meets weekly and will
be chaired by Scott Shone (DHHS) and TBD.
2. Reviewed goals of Testing Workstream along with objectives
3. Identified areas where help is needed
 Validating collection sites statewide (across hospital and health system
labs, commercial labs, FQHCs)

 MEETING MINUTES
County-specific breakdowns would be ideal (where are collections
occurring, then where are they being reported out at. e.g., are we
getting tests out of Madison Co.? If so, where are they sending them,
as we do not see the numbers?)
o Drive-thru collection sites?
Validating capacity across sites (current and surge)
o






Increasing testing access in remote and/or underserved areas
(collection, timely processing/turnaround time, reporting of results, etc.)
Increasing testing access among vulnerable populations (black/brown
communities, LTC facilities)
Prioritizing deployment of rapid/point of care tests
