Cuyahoga County Together We Thrive Cuyahoga County Executive Dear Property Owner, Summer 2020 The COVID 19 Crisis is the worst crisis we have lived through in most of our lifetimes. It has impacted people’s health, their jobs, and businesses throughout our County. It is part of the duty of County Government to collect property taxes and to distribute those taxes to your municipality, school district and state. We have always offered help to residents who are struggling with their property tax payment. But now, more than ever, I want to be sure you know that we are here to help you during this time of extreme hardship. If you are unable to pay the Second Half 2019 tax balance (due by Thursday August 13, 2020) or if you have had difficulties paying your property taxes in the past and you have delinquent taxes, the County has expanded its delinquent tax payment plan options. These options could assist you in addressing the matter. We are attempting to reach out to you in a genuine effort to discuss your present situation and try to help you through these unprecedented times. The County has instituted the following measure until further notice: • For taxpayers who can’t meet the terms of their delinquent contract, the Treasurer may offer you a new contract. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to resolve your tax situation. For further information on our payment plans or to review your situation, please call us Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. at (216) 443-7420 for general tax issues or (216) 443-7698 if you have long-term delinquencies. We look forward to hearing from you. I hope that you and those you love are safe and well. Sincerely, County Executive Armond Budish Note: If you have recently paid the taxes in full, made arrangements with our office to enter into a payment plan or filed for bankruptcy, please disregard this notice. 2079 East Ninth Street Cleveland, Ohio 44115 216-443-7178 www.cuyahogacounty.us SECOND HALF 2019 REAL PROPERTY TAX COLLECTION KEY THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW RECOMMENDED PAYMENT OPTION Appointments required for Tax Services assistance - Online: Pay by e-check or credit card at: Call (216) 443-7420 to schedule treasurer.cuyahogacounty.us Visitors will be screened prior to entering b Face mask required b Maintain 6’ social distance b Limited occupancy b Expect service delays for in-person visits due b to social distancing and limited occupancy requirements DUE DATE: 8/13/2020 Office Hours Mon – Fri, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm EXTENDED HOURS Thursday, August 13 8:00 am – 6:00 pm County Administrative Headquarters Curbside Drop Off h Available: August 3rd – 13th OTHER PAYMENT OPTIONS By Mail: Mail your check or money order to: Cuyahoga County Treasurer, P O Box 94404, Cleveland OH 44101-4404 By Phone: (with credit card) 1-800-2PAYTAX (1-800-272-9829) Drop Box: (check or money order only) Located at the County Administrative Headquarters: 2079 East 9th St and all County Auto Title Bureaus ** Curbside at: 900 Prospect Garage (southeast of the County Administrative Headquarters) Available August 3rd – 13th during business hours ** Auto Title locations: • Bedford Auto Title – 22121 Rockside Rd, Bedford OH 44146 • Mayfield Heights Auto Title (Golden Gate) 1585 Golden Gate Plaza, Mayfield Hts., OH 44124 • Parma Auto Title – 12100 Snow Road, Suite #15, Parma OH 44130 • North Olmsted Auto Title – 27029 Brookpark Rd Extension, North Olmsted OH 44070 In Person: Cash, check, money order or credit card at the County Administrative Headquarters (2079 E. 9th St) KeyBank Locations: (through August 6th) Check or money order for the total amount of the bill – customer must provide the original tax bill to make payment Cuyahoga County Treasury Department W.
