COVID-19 Protocol Overview  Wisconsin Center    The 2020 Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee is taking place amidst the spread of  SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) across the country. In order to minimize risk to all attendees as construction  activities begin at the Wisconsin Center, the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) and  the Milwaukee Host Committee have put into place a series of protocols designed to curb the risk of  disease spread amongst those attending the convention in Milwaukee, including guests, law  enforcement, media, and staff.     All participants will be responsible for following these protocols, and failure to do so will result  in denial of access to the convention site.    In order to maintain a credential to the convention site, all participants must follow this protocol:    ● Complete registration through the DNCC’s credential registration portal.   ● Attendees traveling from outside of Milwaukee are encouraged to get tested for COVID-19  before departing their home location.  ● Before entering the convention’s health and safety zone for the first time, attendees must have  a confirmed negative test for COVID-19 through the DNCC’s testing system.  ● Self-isolate for a minimum of 72 hours prior to departing for Milwaukee or their first entry into  the convention’s health and safety zone if they are already in Milwaukee.   ● Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during travel to Milwaukee, including a  face mask.  ● Agree to daily testing for COVID-19 through the DNCC’s designated testing system and  consent to have their results shared with local health authorities and convention organizers.  ● Confirm to convention organizers through a daily questionnaire that they are not experiencing  any COVID-19 symptoms and that they did not have any known contact with people infected  with COVID-19.  ● Follow CDC guidelines and posted signage for social distancing, including maintaining at least  6 feet of physical distance from other people at all times.    demconvention.com  ● Follow strict PPE requirements in all areas of the convention campus. All attendees must wear  a mask that covers the nose and mouth at all times until departing unless their job function  specifically requires temporary removal of the PPE. In addition, eye protection such as goggles  or a face shield are strongly recommended.  ● Wear a mask at all times when outside of their hotel room or Milwaukee area residence, in  accordance with local ordinances and health guidance.  ● Avoid bars, restaurants, and other locations where social distancing is not possible or not  practiced.  ● Agree to follow such other reasonable restrictions that convention organizers may impose  based on changing health conditions.  Health and Safety Zone  The DNCC will establish a health and safety zone at the primary Convention venue, the Wisconsin  Center District. During Convention week, the health and safety zone will encompass all of the  Wisconsin Center building as well as workspace in the immediate vicinity within the hard perimeter as  established by the Secret Service. Media working exclusively on the outdoor standup positions will not  be subject to the daily testing requirement but will be expected to follow all other protocols.   Additional Testing Information  Daily testing through the Convention testing system will consist of samples being collected by a  medical professional via anterior nares swab at two designated testing sites, one onsite and within the  health and safety zone at the Convention Complex, the other offsite and accessible without a valid  credential. Convention attendees will be required to release their results to the DNCC and the  Milwaukee Health Department. Test results via other providers will not be accepted.   Cleaning  Convention venues and those responsible for cleaning and sanitation will use cleaning and sanitation  products which meet or exceed EPA guidelines for COVID-19 and are approved for use and effective  against viruses, bacteria and other airborne and bloodborne pathogens.     demconvention.com
