TOWN OF KURE BEACH

DECIARATION OF STATE OF EMERGENCY

 

WHEREAS, the current forecast condition for Hurricane Isaias will impact Kure Beach
with significant rain, gusting high winds, strong storm surge and flooding;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Kure Beach Town Council does hereby declare a State of
Emergency and Threatened Disaster in the Town of Kure Beach and orders the
following:
Mandatory or Voluntary evacuation is to be declared at a later time
Curfew is expected to be enacted as required and will be communicated with at
least twelve hours? notice
0 No Sale of Alcoholic Beverages expected to be enacted as required and will be
communicated with at least 12 hours? notice
Shelters to be provided by New Hanover County and the State of NC
Town offices serving the public will close at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 2020
until the State of Emergency is lifted
0 Town emergency essential personnel to remain on duty and available during the
duration of the State of Emergency
0 Execution of Town of Kure Beach Emergency Operations Plan is effective
immediately with all persons, businesses and emergency management personnel
within the Town limits ordered to comply with the plan
0 All Kure Beach officials are to cooperate in the implementation of the provisions
