INDIANAPOLIS 500 ATTENDANCE STREAKS
TO REMAIN UNBROKEN

WHEREAS, The Indianapolis 500 is the marquee race of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES calendar
and an event that de?nes the city of Indianapolis and Central Indiana each year, as months?long
anticipation culminates in civic pride, appreciation and excitement for the largest single?day

sporting event in the world; and

WHEREAS, The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host the 104th Running of the Indianapolis
500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday, Aug. 23, with live coverage beginning at I p.m. ET on
and

WHEREAS, For the ?rst time ever, race fans will not be able to attend the Indianapolis 500 due
to the pandemic, putting the consecutive attendance streaks of many spectators at

risk;

WHEREAS, This year, loyal and passionate fans will experience the pageantry and competition of
?The Greatest Spectacle in Racing? via live television and radio broadcasts, rather than in person
with 300,000 of their fellow race fans at the Racing Capital of the World; and

WHEREAS, The Indianapolis Motor Speedway looks forward to welcoming race fans back to the
105th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 30, 2021;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, J. Douglas Boles, President of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, do
hereby declare and express the Speedway?s deepest gratitude and appreciation to our race fans,
and hereby proclaim that by watching or listening to the 104th Running with their family and
friends and by returning for the 105th Running in May 2021, race fans will of?cially ?Keep
Their Streak? and extend their consecutive Indianapolis 500 attendance record, unbroken and

unblemished, well into the future.
