The old section contains two cellblocks on the first and second floor. Both sections contain six cells. One section has been double bunked. The new section contains two cellblocks, east and west. Both cellblocks contain four detention rooms. Four female detention rooms are located on the first floor. The holding cell in the booking room is not included in jail capacity. 2. Detainees are instructed to notify jail staff when medical attention is needed. The Edgar County Health Department provides nurses to conduct routine sick call and the mandatory 14-day medical screening. TB screening is included in the 14-day screening as requested. Additional medical services are obtained from the Paris Clinic. Additional mental health counseling is obtained through a referral to Human Resourse Center. All staff have received the threeshot hepatitis B vaccine. 3. All meals are received pre-packaged from the Vigo County (Indiana) Jail through their Canteen system. Their dietary system is inspected yearly. 4. Phone Guard now provides the telephone system and sells phone cards to the jail. Telephone cards may be purchased at any time. 5. Visiting is conducted from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and all county/state holidays. Local clergy visit the facility to perform both group and one-on-one counseling. 6. The Human Resources Center provides mental health services for the jail. A documented linkage agreement now exists between the jail and the Human Resources Center. 7. Both indoor and outdoor recreation is available but not used because staffing situations prevent it. The facility library consists of mainly donated leisure type material. 8. The Paris Fire Department tours the facility yearly. Simulated fire drills are conducted at that time. 9. The facility is non smoking. 10. The jail is being painted. 11. The jail holds no federal or immigration detainees. 12. All security officers are taser trained and assigned one during their shift. 13. A restraint chair is available. 14.
