Dear Secretary Hobbs:
Please find enclosed with this letter the Kanye West campaign’s initial filing to be
placed on the ballot in Arizona as a candidate for President of the United States.
Although the statutory filing deadline is Friday September 4, 2020, we are making this
initial filing after conversations with your office to aid in processing the more than
90,000 signatures Mr. West intends to file in support of his candidacy. Additional
signatures will be submitted in a subsequent filing to be made by the September 4
statutory deadline. This initial filing includes:
1. A letter signed by Mr. West designating Michelle Tidball as his Vice-Presidential
running mate, and listing the names of eleven presidential electors who will represent the
candidate, along with the signed consent of Ms. Tidball and each of the eleven
presidential electors.
2. The nomination papers for Mr. West and Ms. Tidball, as well as each of the eleven
presidential electors.
3. 57,892 signatures affixed to nomination petitions for the presidential electors who will
represent Mr. West and Ms. Tidball. To reiterate, Mr. West has seen tremendous support
throughout Arizona that will allow his campaign to submit over two times the statutorily
required number of signatures in support of his candidacy. This initial filing alone
includes 57,892 signatures in support of Mr. West, well in excess of the required 39,039.

In addition, Mr. West intends to make a supplemental filing, as discussed with
your office, which will bring the total signatures in support of Mr. West’s candidacy to
well over 90,000.
