It involves the burglary of a business (Acculab. 41-11 LWR) in which Several ?rearms and ammunition were taken. There are no listed serial numbers or saspects. 04:04:00 1245 hours I spoke with the victim and advised him that. this case had been assigned to me. The victim had no. further information and stated that he would fonivard the Serial numbers of the firearms to me as. soon as possible. QM10I00 attempted to contact the victim sometime during the morning hours. After getting no answer! left a message on his answering machine. 04111100 - 1100 hours I received a letter from the victim?s attorney (Michael G. Brovvn). The letter vaguely indicated that the victim might have a possible suspect in this case. It went .on to say that no one from this agency has requested the identity of the su5pect or conducted any investigation into this matter. 0411 1l00 1325 hours I met with the. victim's attorney (Michael Brown) at AccuLab. At that time informed Brown that I had spoken to the victim once and he made no mention of suspects. I also informed Brown that the victim has yet to provide me with any other information such as serial numbers or suspects that would assist me in my investigation. I advised BroWn that if the. victim has any information that could bene?t this investigation it would be his responsibility to contact me and advise me of such. Brown was also advised that his letter was both inappropriate and unnecessary. Prior to leaving Brown did provide me with a serial number for the stolen Tech 9 (0055307). researched the serial number and found no matching pawn transactions. I contacted telety'pe and the Tech 9 entered as stolen ?rearm. Case #:00-31103 CONCLUSION As of 04114100. I have yet to hear from the victim or his attorney; Based on the lack of cooperation from the victim and Acculab Laboratories I am compelled to conclude that either the victi no further information to provide, or does not want this investigation to continue. Based on these circumstances. this case should be considered inactive 941.351.4000 April 6-, 2000 Sarasota County Sheri fl?s Of?ce Box 4] 15 Sarasota, Florida34230 Attention: Detective Legg Re: Case It SH [03 Dear Detective Legg: Ridge Road in Sarasota over this past weekend. thicl? or thieves were leaking for these guns and nothing else. that'there were guns in th can tell.
