REPUBLICANS CALL FOR PARTY UNITY AND FOCUS ON WINNING U.S. SENATE Atlanta, GA -- The following message was sent by a group of Georgia Republican leaders to fellow party members today: “We have watched with increasing concern as the debate surrounding the state’s electoral system has made some within our Party consider whether voting in the coming run-off election matters. We say today, without equivocation, that without every vote cast for President Trump and all our Republican candidates on November 3 also being cast in the U.S. Senate runoffs, the trajectory of our State and Nation will be irreparably altered on January 5th. “Now is the time to unite our Party and win these U.S. Senate seats. The rest of the nation is counting on us to get it right. As Republicans, we should show America that a unified Georgia Republican Party, casting every vote possible, is the path to victory. Now more than ever, every vote does indeed count, and our message to every Republican in Georgia must be to get out and vote. “As former elected officials and long-time party activists, we must always act to ensure the integrity of the elections process. Indeed, we have an obligation to assure every Georgia citizen - regardless of ideology -- that free and fair elections are what distinguish our Republic from all others. However, we cannot let this ongoing work detract from a mission that only Georgia Republicans can accomplish: maintaining control of the U.S. Senate so that our children and grandchildren can continue to enjoy the national security, economic opportunity and personal freedom that have defined our great nation since its Founding. “Our task at hand today and for the remaining days until January 5th is this: realize that our common opponent is a Democratic party ideology that wishes to fundamentally alter the fabric of our nation into something unrecognizable. We must work every day to counter their resources with our own … each other. Please join us in uniting as a Republican team and showing our fellow Republicans across America that our Georgia team can win when the stakes could not be higher for our great country.” The following Georgia Republican leaders joined in making the statement (prior service in parentheses): Nathan Deal (Governor) Johnny Isakson (U.S. Senator) Joe Whitley (General Counsel, U.S. Dept of Homeland Security) Saxby Chambliss (U.S. Senator) Linda Herren (RNC National Committee) Mack Mattingly (U.S. Senator) Sue P.
