I assured safety of the children on August 27, 2012, I completed a home visit on August 27, 2012, interviewed the grandparents, Michael Adams and Bonnie Adams. I also spoke with the children, -- and Khighla Parks. I attempted to contact the mother; Hilary Adams however was unable to. She is homeless and does not have a number. I completed a walk-through of the home, spoke with the R and made a collateral contact. This report is being concluded as (J) FAMILY ASSESSMENT SERVICES NEEDED due to the following: 1. Children have been living with their maternal grandparents off and on for the past several years. 2. Children admit toConclusion Summary: seeing needles in a purse that -- mom gave her. 3. Hilary is possibly on drugs and currently homeless. She has been told to contact me however is not reaching me. 4. Grandparents want guardianship of children and are willing to work with FCS to achieve that goal. 5. School states that children do better when they are with their grandparents and are often late and exhibit behavior problems when they are with their mom. Risk Level: Very High because of prior reports, mom's durg and alcohol abuse, mom's inability to provide housing for the children and her lack of emotional and psychological support for the children STRENGTHS: Maternal grandparents are able to care for the children NEEDS: -- for Hilary and housing CULTERAL ASPECTS: These are grandparents raising their 5 grandchildren. They do not have guardianship of the children however for the past 2 years they have been the primary caretakers.
