The caller, Hillary Adams, said her daughter ran away. Adams' daughter, Khighla Parks, climbed out her bedroom window and left on foot. Parks left the residence at approximately 1930 hours. Adam's checked the neighborhood and could not locate Parks. Adams wanted to make a missing juvenile report. I arrived on scene and spoke to Adams about the incident. Adams said Parks was sexually assaulted approximately two months earlier. The suspect from the sexual assault live don the same street as Adams. Adams said Parks was not handling the assault very well and seemed depressed. Adams was speaking to Parks about the assault and Parks accused Adams' male friend of "coming onto her". Adams did not believe Parks and they got into a verbal argument. Adams said Parks went into her bedroom and closed the bedroom door. Adams said Parks must have climbed out her bedroom window and left the residence on foot. Adams did not know if Parks took extra clothing with her. Parks was wearing a black sweatshirt and dark pants. Adams thought Parks was wearing a pink shirt under the sweatshirt and the shirt had "get a life" printed on the front. Adams said Parks did not have any friends in the area and did not have a cellular phone. Adams did not know where Parks could be located. Adams made numerous calls to friends and family. Adams also checked the area around her residence. Adams was not able to locate Parks. Adams said Parks wrote several lyrics on her bedroom wall. I walked into Parks bedroom and saw the walls were covered with what appeared to be song lyrics. Adams said Parks wrote most of the lyrics. I read several of the lyrics and some of them made statements of possible suicidal behavior. One of the lyrics said, "to live or to die". Another one spoke about cutting her wrist. Adams did not know if Parks was suicidal but she stated Parks was depressed from the earlier sexual assault. I gave Adams the report number for the incident and had her complete the missing person authorization form. I told Adams to call the Police Department if she located Parks. I contacted the MULES desk and had Parks entered into MULES as a missing person.
