Public Records Law Request

Dear Mr. Maldonado:
Our office is in receipt of your Public Records Law request dated May 2,
2013 in which you requested the following:
All receipts submitted to the city by the NFL or any
other party for sales tax rebates pursuant to the Super
Bowl City Tax Rebate Plan.
Your request has been forwarded to the Department of Finance, Bureau of
Revenue to determine whether responsive records exist and, if so, to respond to
your request. Please note that records may be in active use at this time and
therefore not available for immediate review. Additionally, in accordance with the
Louisiana Public Records Law, the City of New Orleans strives to promptly
release all records which contain only public information and are not otherwise
exempt from the Public Records Law. The City must balance its commitment to
open access with its legal obligation to review public records for such exceptions
and exemptions prior to release.
As soon as our office has been notified by the Department of Finance,
Bureau of Revenue that responsive public records have been compiled and are
available for review, you will be notified to schedule a mutually agreeable time for
your review of the records. Thank you for your request, and we look forward to
working with you to provide public records in a fair and efficient manner.
