Entered into a verbal agreement with the Miami County Correctional Facility to house up to thirty male prisoners for us at any given time. Converted two female housing units (Female and F-Pod) to male minimum and medium housing units. Converted male Medium Pod to female housing effectively increasing the number of female inmates we can house from thirty-one to forty-eight prisoners. Received verbal variance from Bureau of Adult Detention to operate both sides of F-Pod as two-man dormitory cells, effectively increasing the housing unit from eighteen to twenty~four beds. This also increased the Bureau of Adult Detention recommended housing capacity from one hundred ninety-one to on hundred ninety--seven. We are currently drafting the official request letter to send to the Bureau of Adult Detention. Developed and implemented the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) policy. Received fiinding to add four additional corrections officer positions to jail staff. Have successfully hired one of these four positions and are close to filling the additional three positions. Received funding to upgrade current CCTV technology to CCTV digital recording audio recording technology. Are currently in the process of working with the vendor to install this equipment. Received grant from the Bureau of Criminal (fingerprint) machine with palm-print technology - Purchased and is operational.
