City of Dickson, Dickson County. Humphreys County and the Town of Kingston Springs. Collectlvely, the counties and cities named have formed a Cooperative Group referred to as"Dn1g interdiction Crime Enforcement and the 23" Judicial District Drug Task Force (DTF) Board of Directors. WHEREAS, each group hereto by this agreement avail themselves to abide by the temis and conditions of such; WHEREAS, each group ls concerned about the volume of Illegal drugs, funds related to drug and violation of statutes through the common jurisdiction, and the harm that such activity poses to its citizens; WHEREAS, the members of each group have determined that they can best confront the transportation and sale of illegal drugs, the funds generated from such activities, and violation of statutes, by assigning a schedule to Include date and location for each group, to avoid duplication of effort and expand coverage ln the area of enforcement. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration ofthe mutual agreement herein contained. the groups chief law enforcement officers and Board of Directors, hereto agree as followe: 1. Each group have an equal opportunity the common jurisdiction, being interstate l-40 from the western boundary of Humphreys County to the eastern boundary of Cheatham County. DICE will work days and the 23"' DTF work gold days of the calendar year. The calendar date will determine which group will have the opportunity of enforcement action relating to travelers heading west on l-40. 2. The group not having the first opportunity at enforcement action for travelers heading west on l>>40, will have the second opportunity of enforcement action for the same direction of travel. This group have a choice of location which shall be peyond the location of the opportunity. The observation location treading east will be at the discretion of the group's supervisor and shall consider the ability to observe and safe entry with moving traffic. The group shall not have both first and second opportunity of enforcement action locations. while both groups are working the area. 3.
